MAGIS AWARD RECIPIENTS 2012
The Jesuit Centre of Spirituality is very pleased to announce that Pam and Yves Daigle of Grand Bay-Westfield NB (near Saint John) will receive the 2012 Magis Award. This fourth Magis Award is the first one given to a couple. Their union extends beyond marriage and family to include a shared commitment to spirituality and ministry. For many years they have been faithful members of the Christian Life Community (CLC), and they have been formed in the ways of Ignatian spirituality. Yves is currently the regional coordinator of the Atlantic Canada region of the CLC. Pam is very active in the Atlantic Association for the Spiritual Exercises Apostolate (AASEA), bringing her skills as a pedagogue and a facilitator to numberless meetings and formation programmes. This year the Award ceremony will take place at Villa Madonna in Rothesay NB (near Saint John) on November 10. There will be a mass in the late morning followed by a festive luncheon during which the award ceremony will take place. More precise arrangements will be communicated to you in early September. Please mark that date in your calendar if you wish to attend. If you wish to be placed on an early reservation list, please phone us at 902-429-7344 or e-mail us at registrar@jesuitspirit.ca. This is a departure from our usual practice of having our celebration in Halifax. It underlines the vocation of the Jesuit Centre which, based in Halifax, extends to the three maritime provinces.
