SPIRITUALITY OF IGNATIUS LOYOLA
Introduction to a spiritual master
Based on the recent book of David Fleming, S.J., What is Ignatian Spirituality?, this programme will explore the basic characteristics of Ignatian spirituality. Its methods and practices, and the vision it offers to those who follow it, are especially fitting for our complex and challenging world. Ignatian spirituality is not just for Jesuits but for all who seek spiritual freedom and authentic living in the ordinary circumstances of their lives.

THE HISTORY OF GOD
The evolving notion of God in the Bible
The Bible is an inspired account of how over the centuries of salvation history we humans evolved in our understanding of God. First the Hebrew people moved from a primitive tribal notion of God to a God who is Lord of all creation and of all peoples. Then the life and ministry of Jesus led us to understand the one God as Love and as three persons. How is this mirrored in the evolution of our own operative notion of God as it changes over our lives?
Four sessions, 7-9 pm, Leader: J-M Laporte. Wednesdays Oct 13, 20, Nov 3, 17 (note the change of date of the first session)
